Our client, a premier metals-based med-tech solutions partner, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the assembly department supporting various manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cable Assembler

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $23.00 per hour
Shift: 1pm-10pm
*Full-time / Temporary with the ability to convert to permanent.

What's the Job?

• Assemble cables, cable harnesses, and electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies under limited supervision.
• Provide technical assistance to less skilled assemblers and assign work to be performed for Cable Assembler 1.
• Check part count and any special packaging or handling requirements.
• Set up parts in the work area, select tools required to complete the operation, and perform various types of testing.
• Inspect parts frequently to assure they meet quality requirements and notify the lead of any discrepancies.

What's Needed?

• 2+ years' experience producing complex cable assemblies.
• Ability to solder, crimp, and strip wires.
• Experience operating automated crimping and stripping equipment.
• Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to understand moderately complex written and verbal instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision.
