Demolition Equipment Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate heavy machinery and equipment to perform aggregate plant clean-up and metal recycling tasks. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling heavy equipment and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires travel to project sites outside of Texas . Candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods as needed based on project demands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, and other machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Transport materials using heavy equipment to designated areas for recycling.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and ensure that all necessary digital paperwork is completed.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Participate in company training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest equipment and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment with 1 year on a shear.
• Experience in MSHA regulated sites is a plus.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
