QualDerm Partners is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant specializing in Mohs Surgery to join our dedicated team. In this specialized role, you will work closely with our team of dermatologists to assist in Mohs surgery procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by obtaining medical histories and conducting vital sign assessments.
• Assist the physician during Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are readily available.
• Prepare surgical sites and assist with specimen handling and labeling for accurate testing.
• Monitor patients during the recovery phase, providing post-operative care instructions and support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring comprehensive documentation of procedures.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient communications effectively.
• Educate patients about Mohs surgery procedures, recovery, and aftercare.
• Ensure exam and surgical rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant required.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology, with a focus on Mohs surgery preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures involved in Mohs surgery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interactions.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in fast-paced surgical settings.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software applications.
