Step into a leadership role at one of the most iconic botanical gardens in the country— Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA —as the Executive Catering Chef with Restaurant Associates . Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Culinary Director to manage food cost controls, optimize kitchen operations, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Collaborate on crafting and performing outstanding, seasonal menus that reflect both creativity and guest preferences.
  • Led the production and implementation of high-profile catering events, ensuring every detail is completed with precision and elegance.
  • Roll out new culinary initiatives in partnership with our marketing and culinary innovation teams.
  • Supervise, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and refine daily offerings, including preparation techniques and garnishing, to delight every guest.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. or equivalent experience in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with proven experience
  • Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal training
  • Catering experience is required.
  • High volume, complex food service operations experience is highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable
