Human Resources Manager – Charlotte, NC 28134

$110,000 – $125,000 annually + Free Benefits, PTO, and 401k Match

A premier manufacturer of high-quality grills, fireplaces, and outdoor lifestyle products is growing its footprint in Charlotte, NC, and we're looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the charge. With decades of craftsmanship behind our name, we’ve built a reputation for durable, design-driven products that turn outdoor spaces into year-round gathering places.

As we ramp up operations at our new facility, this role will be instrumental in shaping the local HR functions, bringing structure, driving culture, and supporting the buildout of a future HR team that may include a Generalist, Coordinator, and Assistant. We're looking for someone who can balance hands-on day-to-day support with long-term strategic planning in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, oversee day-to-day HR operations, and implement your own processes to support engagement, compliance, and culture. You’ll have the autonomy to make an impact, while being part of a collaborative and driven team.

Human Resources Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters, providing a proactive, hands-on approach that ensures consistent and high-quality employee experience.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support organizational structure, workforce planning, and long-term strategic initiatives.

Policy Development & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine HR policies and procedures to align with company values and promote operational efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, updating internal practices as needed to reflect legislative changes.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and recommending fair, consistent outcomes.
  • Oversee performance management processes that foster ongoing feedback, development, and alignment with company goals.
  • Support department heads in coaching, performance conversations, team development, and succession planning.

Talent Acquisition & HR Team Growth

  • Lead recruitment efforts for HR team expansion, including identifying, interviewing, and onboarding an HR Generalist and Coordinator.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives that drive retention, morale, recognition, and effective internal communication.

Benefits & Total Rewards

  • Administer and optimize employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Oversee the company’s 401(k) plan, ensuring proper enrollment, compliance, and communication to employees.
  • Continuously assess and recommend enhancements to the total rewards strategy to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience leading employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
