Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking dynamic and versatile contingent HR Associates to support our Human Resources department during an ongoing HR transformation project. This up to 24-month assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Benefits, HR Operations and Digital HR Systems. The ideal candidates are self-starters who can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are eager to develop their careers in human resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

  • Schedule high-volume interviews and coordinate with candidates, hiring managers and recruiters.
  • Post job advertisements to various platforms and maintain applicant tracking systems.
  • Process background and reference checks, support onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand and support recruitment needs.

HR Generalist & Employee Support:

  • Provide support for performance management, employee relations and succession planning.
  • Counsel employees and managers on basic HR topics and policy application.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department leaders to drive talent strategies.

Benefits & Leave Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Liaise with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve claims and manage billing.
  • Support benefits communications and conduct orientations for new employees.

Learning & Development:

  • Coordinate learning events, development programs and onboarding activities.
  • Support training logistics, registration and evaluation.
  • Assist with program design and facilitation as needed.

HR Operations & Data Management:

  • Process and maintain accurate employee data and documentation across HR systems.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics, reports, dashboards and presentations.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness through accurate record-keeping and documentation.

Digital HR Systems & Process Improvement:

  • Gather stakeholder requirements and assist with HRIS enhancements and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot and improve digital HR tools (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors).
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Administrative & Special Projects:

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for HR initiatives and events.
  • Handle mailroom operations, document delivery and general office support when needed.
  • Support special assignments and cross-functional projects in various HR domains.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR or administrative support roles is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and/or SuccessFactors is a strong plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing environment.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance areas including HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and ACA (for benefits roles).
