This is responsible, specialized public safety work at a City of St. Petersburg swimming pool, including maintaining safe swimming conditions, enforcing established regulations, monitoring activities of swimmers, rescuing persons who are in distress, and related activities. Responsibilities include protecting life; applying or directing the application of first aid when necessary; and participating in the maintenance of proper water condition and cleaning of the pools and facilities; Work requires the ability to prevent dangerous situations from arising; to recognize emergencies and take appropriate action; and considerable skill in swimming, rescue work, resuscitation and first aid. This is a seasonal, part time position assigned to one of the City’s swimming pools.
Salary: $17.92 - $23.81 Hourly
