Job Description

JP Logistics Solutions is seeking creative and service-oriented Sales-Rep to join their expanding team in the Miami, Florida office. In this role, you will be responsible for building our book of businesses, having knowledge about the shipping/logistics industry, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics with a focus on customer relationship management. Great service begins with experienced and friendly professionals that lead to long-lasting relationships. We strive to deliver quality service over the years to maintain and establish confidence with our clients.

The Sales-Rep will focus on acquiring new accounts through cold calls, emails, visits to prospective customers, and developing a network of agents. To be successful in this role, you need to have strong problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication, as well as staying customer focused.

What You Can Expect:

  • Establishes multiple contacts and builds business relationships at multiple levels.
  • Understands and stays informed about the business, trends, industry, and customer needs, and applies that knowledge to identify opportunities and articulate where we can provide value within the customer's supply chain.
  • Effectively executes sales activities and maintains a pipeline to generate revenue and meet or exceeds net revenue goals and expectations.
  • Understands market conditions and the competitive landscape to provide efficient and effective transportation solutions for the customer.
  • Wins, retains, and develops customers through sales activities by actively setting appointments for face-to-face sales meetings with customers and following the schedule laid by inside sales.
  • Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about the customer's business and the market.
  • Supports customer retention through collaboration with all resources, including our operations teams, other sales channels, and Miami office Management.
  • Responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new customers.
  • Execute strategic sales in line with the company growth plan.
  • Develops and implements strategies and tactics to meet and preferably exceed the given targets.
  • Uses CRM to identify, call, and track prospects to gain core business and strategic customer opportunities.
  • Recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge.
  • Manages opportunities and risks, securing the interests of the company.

What You Bring:

  • Ability to think outside the box (Entrepreneur).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the 3PL or related industry.
  • Strong persuasion skills, work ethic, integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and sales strategies.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Strong ability to establish and manage relationships with varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates competence in conflict management, decision-making, and strategic planning.
  • Good knowledge of Freight Forwarding services, supply chain, including ocean and air (export and import).
  • Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.
  • Willing to travel for business purposes.
  • Able to work creatively and effectively, as well as plan and prioritize effectively and proactively.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
