🔧 NOW HIRING: Rework Mechanics – Polaris Proving Grounds (Eden, TX) 🔧

Location: Eden, TX (near San Angelo)

Shift: Monday – Friday | 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Contract Length: 12 months

Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Are you a mechanically skilled problem-solver with a passion for powersports or automotive equipment? Polaris is looking for 1–2 experienced Rework Mechanics to join our dynamic team at the Polaris Proving Grounds in Eden, TX!

🔍 About the Role:

As a Rework Mechanic, you'll refurbish and prepare off-road vehicles for sale or scrap, assist with test track maintenance, and help manage vehicle inventory and records. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Engineering team while working hands-on with industry-leading machines.

🛠 Responsibilities:

• Refurbish and scrap off-road vehicles (may include engine, transmission, or frame replacements)
• Maintain detailed vehicle logs and inventory in our systems
• Conduct vehicle inspections using tablets
• Prepare vehicles for sale or scrap (fluid draining, battery removal, etc.)
• Assist with track and trail maintenance at our proving grounds
• Operate forklifts and manage organized storage of vehicles and parts
• Support occasional travel for inventory management at other locations

✅ Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician
• Powersports or automotive dealership experience highly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude; fabrication/welding experience a plus
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Excel
• High school diploma required; 2-year technical degree preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and forklift operation skills
• Experience with diagnostic tools and skid loaders is a bonus #metrocareers
