We're Hiring: Senior Cost Accountant Location: Kenilworth, NJ (On-site 3+ days/week, with weekly travel to Newark, NJ) Industry: Food Manufacturing Department: Finance / Cost Accounting To strengthen our Finance team, looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to lead accurate product costing, establish manufacturing KPIs, and implement inventory controls across our two New Jersey locations (Kenilworth & Newark). This role plays a critical part in driving transparency around operational efficiency and will be heavily involved in our upcoming ERP implementation . What You'll Do: Verify and improve existing product costing (including time/weight studies) Establish standard costs for manufactured goods Prepare scenario modeling for input cost changes Partner closely with Supply Chain & Operations to boost productivity and profitability Report material & labor variances using BOMs and production data Lead inventory cost reporting and reconciliation Provide accurate costing for new business opportunities Generate financial analysis reports to guide business decisions Support CAPEX requests with reliable financial data What We're Looking For: ~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration ~5+ years in a similar cost accounting role , preferably in food manufacturing ~ Strong financial and operational analysis skills ~ Proficiency with ERP systems ( VAI for Food Manufacturing is a plus ) ~ Advanced Excel skills and hands-on approach ~ Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus) ~ Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days/week and travel weekly between locations If you’re ready to make a real impact , bring clarity to cost structures, and be part of a growing finance function, we’d love to hear from you.
