Job Opportunity: Software Engineer

HII's Mission Technologies division focuses on delivering advanced solutions for national security and defense. This role specifically resides in our Platform Integration division and will help support Enterprise Level Security & Modernization for IT, Cyber, facilities and personnel. We are looking for motivated and mission-oriented individuals to join our incredible team in the DC area! This is a proposal requisition with a June 2025 anticipated award date.

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop custom applications, workflows, and integrations.
• Lead the review and resolution of open cases, problems, and changes while maintaining clear communication with ServiceNow teams.
• Implement and optimize ITIL-based processes within the ServiceNow platform.
• Ensure all development activities align with security protocols.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation for all system configurations and customizations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and end users.
• Participate in change management and release activities.

What We Are Looking For:

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
• Demonstrated experience with ITIL frameworks and processes.
• Strong background in JavaScript, AngularJS, and web services.
• Experience in AI integration and automation such as automating workflows or analyzing AI-driven insights.
• Proven track record of working in cloud-based environments.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Active top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Bonus Points For:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administration (CSA).
• Prior experience in government or defense environments.

Physical Requirements:

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
