RETTEW Field Services, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to support our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in utility locating, project management, and client relations. This position offers the opportunity for advancement based on performance and a commitment to our core values.

Responsibilities

Program, Project, and Task Management:

- Manage multiple client relationships and projects, ensuring adherence to contract requirements and professional standards.

- Oversee single-discipline projects with budgets up to $100K; multi-disciplinary project management experience is a plus.

- Lead project teams consisting of 1 to 5 staff members.

- Actively participate in professional organizations.

Technical Responsibilities:

- Utilize advanced subsurface utility designating field techniques, including metal detection, electromagnetics (EM), duct rodding, and ground-penetrating radar (GPR).

- Independently locate water, sewer, gas, fiber, telecom, electric, sanitary, and storm utilities.

- Conduct concrete scanning GPR and rebar mapping.

- Learn and apply advanced geophysical field investigation techniques (seismic, gravity, borehole, EM, etc.).

- Employ GPS/GNSS surveying techniques.

- Manage air/hydro-excavating field activities (test holes).

- Perform CCTV video pipe inspections (storm/sanitary sewer) as needed.

- Adhere to ASCE 38-21 standards and the SUE process, ensuring quality levels D through A.

- Prepare detailed reports and exhibits.

Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership:

- Maintain strong client relations and task management skills.

- Exhibit a passion for fieldwork and building client relationships through quality work.

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety culture.

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Willingness to travel periodically.

Requirements

5-10+ years of utility locating experience.

Experience managing single-discipline projects with budgets up to $100K.

Experience with concrete scanning GPR and rebar mapping.

Knowledge of advanced geophysical field investigation techniques.

Familiarity with GPS/GNSS surveying techniques.

Experience managing air/hydro-excavating field activities.

Experience with CCTV video pipe inspection is a plus.

Understanding of ASCE 38-21 standards and the SUE process.

Surveying experience with PA, MD, OH, or WV PLS licensure is a plus.

Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Active participation in professional organizations.
