Job Description

Sable Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated OR RN to join our surgical team. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment. Your role will involve preparing the operating room, assisting with patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and delivering compassionate care during and after surgery. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Assist with the positioning of patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Provide immediate post-operative care, monitoring recovery progress and addressing any complications.
  • Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care plans.
  • Accurately document all procedures, medications, and patient interactions in electronic health records.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; an ADN is acceptable with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in perioperative nursing or an equivalent clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration in the OR.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and quick decision-making.
