Senior Autonomy Robotics Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA (Relocation package available)

Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000

Working Arrangement: Full Time - Hybrid ( Monday and Friday Remote)

I am representing one of the most innovative companies in the autonomous systems sector to help them find someone to join their Autonomy team, into any of their SLAM, Motion planning or Perception teams.

This company is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI-driven solutions for autonomous systems across various industries. With a history of disrupting traditional sectors, they are now expanding into new markets, leveraging their ground-breaking technology.

The team works in a dynamic R&D environment, focusing on diverse areas of autonomy and robotics, allowing the successful candidate to explore multiple avenues and gain new skills with hands-on mentorship, of an already existing team to inherit.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of next-generation Autonomy technologies and techniques for autonomous systems, enabling machines to learn, navigate, and perceive complex environments with integrated collision detection.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working with either SLAM, Perception or motion planning.
  • Deep expertise in autonomous systems.
  • ML Experience specifically with Motion planning
  • Proficient in Python, C++, and robotics middleware (e.g., ROS).
  • Experience with neural network frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Proven track record of translating research into practical implementations.
